This is just a quick blurb while I finish my binge (I have two episodes to go in the second season) but for those of us who are history nerds, lovers of superb film, this has been the best thing I have watched since the beginning of the Fall Season!
One thing that really surprised me was the use of the Marburg papers (totally real) and how King Edward (who abdicated the thrown for the love of his American Divorcee Wallace Simpson) is a documented Nazi sympthasizer. I read about this a long time ago, and was worried if there were going to be any sentimental moments with him. There was not, and Britain was very lucky he did abdicate otherwise the war may have turned out very differently.
This cinephile is blown away by this amazing work of art.
